
Traveling to Isabela Island where Hostal Galapagos by Bar de Beto is located can be a bit tricky if you don’t know the way.
But here we detail it step by step:
The BEST OPTION
Is to come from Guayaquil or Quito to Baltra Airport (Seymour)
Get your TCT Card at the airport or online {How to fill it here}
Remember our legal name for TCT is just «Galapagos» as Hostal Galapagos by Bar de Beto is just for commercial purposes
Then you have to pay the Galapagos National Park Entrance Fee (cash only) {In this link you can check how much you have to pay according to your nationality}
After you pick up your luggage you can take the airport bus (USD 5)
Then you will reach Canal de Itabaca on the boat waiting for airport travelers for this boat you have to pay USD 1
From Canal de Itabaca, take the bus (USD 5) or taxi (between 20-25 USD) to Puerto Ayora
When you arrive at the last stop in Puerto Ayora, buy your ferry ticket to Isabela Island.
The boat is approximately 2:30 hours and then you’ll reach us in Puerto Villamil.
The boat leaves twice a day from island to island
Santa Cruz to Isabela: TIMES
- 7 am
- 2 pm
Isabela to Santa Cruz: TIMES
- 6 am
- 3 pm
The price is of the boats between 30-35 USD per person one way.

USD 1 for the water taxi to get to your ferry
USD 1 for the water taxi from the ferry to Isabela’s pier
USD 10 for the entrance to Isabela Island

INTER ISLAND FLIGHTS
- Baltra to Isabela
- San Cristobal to Isabela
You can flight directly with the inter island flights from the airports to Isabela Island, there are two companies in Galapagos : EMETEBE and ESAV
OPTIONS IF ARRIVING FROM SAN CRISTOBAL
If you arrive in San Cristobal you can take a flight from there to Isabela.
Or take a boat from Cristobal to Santa Cruz and from Santa Cruz to Isabela. (water taxi and boat prices are similar)
