Stay in the island of the Galapagos that resembles a seahorse

Isabela Island is the biggest island in size of the archipelago, but the second smallest in population with only 3000 people living on the island.

Through the experience you will visit the most famous tours of the island: Los Tuneles, Sierra Negra Volcano, the Tortoise Breeding Center & Tintoreras

Plus you will get to do a Cooking Class and learn about Ecuadorian Cuisine!

Experience Highlights

What you’ll be doing?

  • Day 1

    Morning arrival to Isabela Island

    You will be picked from Isabela Island’s port and we will head to your accommodation for you to rest.

    2 pm – You will be picked to do kayak or paddle tour around the Tintoreras Islet

    6 pm – We will head to Bar de Beto for a welcome cocktail where you will get more information for the upcoming days itineraries

  • Day 2

    Los Tuneles Tour

    7:10 – 7:45 am – You will get picked up from your accommodation to head to the most famous snorkeling spot of Isabela Island: Los Tuneles

    With the Guide and the group you will head by boat for around 20 – 30 minutes to the first stop: Roca Union

    Then we will enter Los Tuneles protected area where you will snorkel and do a guided walk where the Blue Footed Boobies live

  • Day 3

    Sierra Negra Volcano Hike

    7:10 – 7:40 am – You will get picked up from your accommodation to head to one of the biggest active calderas of the world

    8 am – You will start the 16 km hike with your guide and spot species along the way such as the Galapagos Vermillion Flycatcher and wild Giant Tortoises

    12 pm – Once we reach the Volcan Chico we will have time for our lunch box

    2 pm – We will head back to your accommodations

    6 pm – We will meet for a Cooking Class with a local chef: There will be two Ecuadorian Traditional Food Options ( This you will decide on the first day of the trip) * (Vegetarian options available on request) *

  • Day 4

    9 am – We will go to the Tortoise Breeding Center and the Flamingo Lagoon

    12 pm – Lunch time

    2 pm – Boat to Santa Cruz Island

    (If you are staying longer on Isabela, you won’t get the pick up for the port)

Located in the center of Puerto Villamil, we are close to everything you will need during your stay.

Two minutes away from the Flamingo lagoon and one minute from the main beach.

Cancellation & Other Policies

1. BOOKING CONFIRMATION

In order to make a reservation, a deposit of 50% of the tour is required. 

Payment in full is required 30 days before trip departure.

Payment options are: 

  • Bank transfer. We need to receive the same amount as the invoice, all fees are covered by the sender.
  • Payment platform www.wetravel.com

WETRAVEL

ACH direct deposit (US bases accounts)

• fees are 1%+30c.

• Credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diners Club, UnionPay : fees are 3.9%+30c (1%+30c + 2.9%) for Visa/Mastercard or 4.9%+30c (1%+30c + 3.9%) for AMEX.

2. CANCELLATION POLICIES 

If you decide to cancel your reservation, written requests are required.

Based on the date of request the following amount will be retained:
• A) 60 days before departure: 20% of  Total Amount.
• B) 59 to 30 days before departure: 50% of  Total Amount.
• C) 29 to 0 days before departure: 100% of Total Amount.

In case of a flight issue (delay, change by the airline), no refund can be made in case of lost excursion/overnight. 

We strongly recommend to contract a travel insurance for your trip with a

« cancel for any reason » policy.

2.1 ALTERATION POLICIES 

In the event that unforeseen circumstances prevent us from following the planned itinerary, we reserve the right to modify, replace, or cancel excursions as needed to prioritize the safety and well-being of our clients.

 3. DIETARY RESTRICTIONS 

All guests are required to inform Coral Skies Ecotravel of any specific dietary restrictions (including allergies) in advance. 

While some tours include meals and we will do our best to accommodate individual needs, please note that due to limited food supplies on the islands and the remote nature of our locations, we may not be able to cater some dietary requirements (specially beyond vegetarian or pescatarian options)

4. REASONS OF FORCE MAJEURE

Coral Skies Ecotravel  reserves the right to cancel or modify the tours due to force majeure, acts of providence, extraordinary or unforeseen events, or circumstances beyond the control of the AGENCY that prevent the tours from happening.

Such events include but are not limited to: epidemic, pandemic, war or revolution, strikes / riots / civil unrest, extreme weather, floods, tsunami, earthquake, volcanic eruption, fire, drought, contamination, legislation or decision by government or state powers that prohibit or impact the performing of a tour, energy blackouts, cyber attacks, threat of or acts of terrorism, internal commotion. 

5. REFUND POLICY

If a TOURIST encounters any issues during the tour, they must notify the AGENCY immediately and in writing. Only complaints submitted within one week of the tour’s conclusion will be considered. 

The AGENCY will make every effort to provide a formal response within one week of receiving the complaint; however, response times may be affected by delays in obtaining necessary information from local operators.

Coral Skies Ecotravel will NOT be responsible for giving refunds due to complaints in any of the following situations:

  • Mechanical issues affecting any form of transport on the trip.
  • Late arrival or no-show of THE TOURIST.
  • Decision of THE TOURIST to leave the tour early or miss any activities / meals / accommodations during the tour.
  • Issues caused by the TOURIST traveling without necessary documentation including passport, visas, immigration papers or vaccination certificates.
  • Price differences paid by different passengers aboard the same tour including special last minute rates.
  • Decisions by any third party that affect the normal running of the tour
  • Force Majeure events or any other extraordinary circumstances as described in Clause Four
  • Alteration of trip itinerary or program by the agency either before or after departure, as described in Clause Five.
  • Decision of the TOURIST to travel without valid travel insurance, despite the recommendations of the AGENCY
