Itinerary

The tour starts with the pick up at the lodges between 7:20 am to 7:40 am from where the transportation will take you to the beginning of the journey to the Sulphur Mines which takes approximately 30 minutes.

We will arrive at El Cura where you will have the option to go to the bathroom for the last time until we return.

From El Cura we will continue by car to the camping area from where the descent to the sulfur mines starts.

The descent can be a bit slippery so we recommend holding on to the rails and watch where you step.

After passing the area of ferns we will arrive to zone 1 which is a sulfur beach inside the caldera and then with the guide with his explanation we will proceed to climb to zone 2 of the mines where the fumaroles are located.

We will have a moment to take many pictures of the place and then we will descend to return to the car.

From this point we will return to pass the control of El Cura where you can use the bathroom and then continue to the Cueva de Sucre.

Finally we will return to Puerto Villamil and you will be given the photos of the tour in digital format.
